Do not use any benzoyl peroxide, exfoliants or nightly retinoids (Differin, Tretinoin, Tazorac, Retin-A, Atralin, Epiduo, Renova, etc.) at least 3 days prior to any of the above treatments since your skin will be overly dry and will burn and react more harshly to the treatment. This means that I will not be able to go as aggressive with the treatment as I would like.
Explanation Of Services
Get relaxed and see results with a 60 minute completely customized facial using warm towels throughout to open your pores so product can really penetrate and work along with the soothing warmth on your face, neck and chest. This facial is perfect for anyone since the right products will be used depending on what your skin is needing. Schedule for a Dermaplaning Facial to get even deeper exfoliation and better results with skin looking smooth and refreshed for weeks!
I suggest a facial be done every 4-6 weeks to keep up with cellular turnover and exfoliation along with infusing moisture into the skin that gets depleted daily.
Dermaplaning is a procedure for exfoliating the outer most layer of skin and ridding it of fine hair we tend to call peach fuzz. It's a quick service that's performed on the face. I use a scalpel and a soft touch, scraping the surface of the skin using light feathery strokes.
Dermaplaning not only gets rid of peach fuzz on the face, it also exfoliates removing dead skin cells on the outermost layer. You'll see the glow on your skin right away.
So if dermaplaning just seems like a very fancy and expensive way to shave, then you're almost right. The real difference is the level of exfoliation. I determine how deep to plane the skin, where a shaving razor can only go so far.
Dermaplaning can be scary for some because there is a myth that the hair will grow back thicker and darker. This is not the case. The reason it can look thicker and darker is because the razor will cause a blunt edge. The blunt edge is what may cause the hair to look and feel thicker when starting to grow back in, much like when you shave.
I suggest it with a Chemical Peel, Facial or Microneedling because it allows the other products to sink deeper into the skin with the aim of quicker and better results.
In this session you will receive a serum and mask after the treatment to rehydrate your skin.
Ideally done every 6-8 weeks! No downtime!
A Chemical peel is ideal for all skin conditions, acne, oily skin, damaged, aging, fine lines and wrinkles, scarring and preventative.
A Chemical peel affects the intra-epidermal layer, and exfoliation occurs within 2-3 days after peel application. The skin goes through very little down time. Peeling will consists of light flaking to some peeling similar to a sunburn for up to 5 days. For best results this is recommended to do every 4-6 weeks for as long as needed.
Microneedling (my favorite) - Also Known As Collagen Induction Therapy or Vampire Facial
The latest innovation in fractional microneedling. Skin rejuvenation treatments with MDPen microneedling can be used to lift and tighten while diminishing wrinkles, photo aging, and pore size.
Microneedling is a non-invasive effective tool in anti-aging skin care. It lifts and tightens the skin while providing texture improvement and scar treatment for all ages and skin types. With MDPen Micro Skin Needling you get smoother and younger looking skin without the side effects or downtime of cosmetic surgery and lasers.
Treats & Improves: Scars - Acne scarring - Overall Skin Texture - Wrinkles and Aging Skin - Loss of Skin Laxity - Hyperpigmentation - Melasma - Decreases Pore Size
Suggested to be done in series of 3 or 6 every 8 weeks depending on what results your are wanting to achieve. I strongly recommend a Chemical Peel or Customized Facial to be done 4 weeks after treatments to continue to keep the dead skin cells from building back up for faster results.
1-2 Chemical Peels should be done before you have a Microneedling treatment. This is to be done to break down the first few layers of dead skin on your face so that you will see faster results with Microneedling instead of going straight to it and not seeing the results you are wanting until the 3rd Microneedling treatment. This in terms will be more money out of your pocket with less results unless the Chemical Peels are done prior and 4 weeks before your first treatment!
This procedure starts off with 2 cleanses to thoroughly clean the skin then is followed by a topical numbing cream that will be left on for 20-25 minutes. After the recommended numbing time the cream is then removed and the Microneedling procedure is performed.
You will be numb but everyone has a different pain tolerance and with some people the numbing cream doesn't last as long as others. You will feel the vibration of the machine. This is my favorite procedure to have done and I'm not good with pain.
Treatment takes approximately 15-20 minutes.
After your treatment your face will be red and also white (blanched) from the numbing cream. You might have areas that look like scabs depending on if I had to go deeper in more problem spots. As your numbing cream wears off after 2-4 hours your face will feel hot like a sunburn. I do have aftercare products to give you to help.
The Next day you will be red like a sunburn, feel tightness and slightly hot. As the remainder of the day goes on it will go down to more of a mild sunburn. The 2nd day you might be slightly red or pink but you can apply makeup. By the 3rd day you will have very mild dryness and skin should be barely pink. On the 4th day dryness should be almost gone and skin will be back to normal color. The areas that were treated deeper may look like scabs as they heal but a gentle scrub will to help exfoliate the dead skin and scabs and they may take up until the 5th day to be fully healed.
